What We Shape

Fashion designed entirely by hand

From first sketch to final fitting — we shape clothing that solves real problems of style, occasion, and self-expression.

✏️

Seasonal Collections

Hand-drawn from first sketch to final garment — small-run collections shaped around considered silhouettes, natural fabrics, and clothing made to last beyond the season.

🧵

Bespoke Commissions

A limited number of custom commissions each year, sketched to brief, fitted in-studio, and finished to order. For occasions and wardrobes that deserve something made entirely for you.

🌿

Bridal & Occasion

Bridal gowns and occasion wear shaped around the person wearing them — hand-drawn, fitted across multiple appointments, and crafted without shortcuts.

📐

Editorial & Collaboration

Collaborative work with photographers, stylists, and creatives — costume and editorial pieces shaped to a concept, with the same hand-drawn care as every other commission.

Our Approach

Four principles behind every piece

We don't just sketch shapes. We design clothing — guided by four principles that define how we think, what we make, and how we finish every piece.

These aren't marketing words. They're the criteria by which we evaluate every decision, every silhouette, and every seam we send out of the studio.

01

Elegant

Shaped with restraint — every element considered, every excess removed. Elegance is the result of discipline, not decoration.

02

Crafted

Measured by what you reach for. Every seam and silhouette is tied to how the piece will actually be worn.

03

Personal

Shaped around the person wearing it — their body, their occasion, their aesthetic. Nothing is generic by design.

04

Classic

Every piece is sketched, draped, and fitted before a single finished seam is sewn. Made to outlast the season.

Who We Serve

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often from clients, stockists, and those considering a commission.

What does hand-drawn mean for Lily Cho Design?
Every piece begins as a pencil sketch — not a CAD template, not a digital block. Hand-drawing at the start of a design means the silhouette, proportion, and detail are considered on paper before they are ever translated into fabric. The result is clothing where every line has a reason, and nothing is there by default.
How do Lily Cho Design collections work?
We release small seasonal collections — limited runs of hand-drawn pieces available through our studio and select stockists. Because runs are small, each collection sells through before the next arrives. If you see something you love, it is worth acting on.
How do I commission a bespoke piece?
Bespoke commissions begin with a consultation — in-studio or by appointment — where we discuss your occasion, aesthetic preferences, and how you like to wear clothing. From there we produce hand-drawn sketches for your review, move to toile fitting, and finish the piece to your measurements. Lead time is typically six to ten weeks. We take a limited number of commissions each season.
Do Lily Cho Design pieces come in standard sizes?
Collection pieces are shaped to a range of bodies, not a narrow standard-size assumption. Each garment page lists the measurements the piece was cut to, and we are transparent about how much adjustment is possible. For anything outside the collection range, a bespoke commission is the right path.
How should I care for a Lily Cho Design piece?
Care instructions are included with every piece. Most of our collection uses natural fabrics — linen, wool, silk, cotton — that reward gentle handling. We will always tell you exactly what a garment is made from and how to look after it. Clothing made carefully should be cared for carefully.
Where is Lily Cho Design based?
The studio is based in Australia. Bespoke commissions are fitted in-studio by appointment. Collection pieces are available online and through select stockists. We ship throughout Australia and internationally — contact us if you are outside Australia and want to discuss a commission or order.
What is the returns policy for Lily Cho Design pieces?
Collection pieces may be returned within 14 days of receipt if unworn and in original condition. Bespoke commissioned pieces are made to your measurements and specifications and are not eligible for return. If a piece arrives damaged or does not match what was agreed, please contact us and we will resolve it promptly.
